First a fundraising update – So far, with the help of my supporters, we have raised $5 032 – which is amazing! Even more amazing, is that I have already surpassed my first financial deadline of $3 500 by June 12th. This means that I still have to raise $11 245 by December 31st. I know that this sounds like a lot, and it is!
BUT WAIT!
I have taken this amount and divided it by the number of days that I will be on the World Race, which is 335 days. This works out to $34 per day or R409.
This is where the idea ‘Join me on the World Race for a day’ comes in. I’d like to say this is my own idea. But, it isn’t. So thank you to Ben Baecker.
By sponsoring a day of my trip, you not only help me reach my goal of being fully funded, but you also become a part of my team – not only financially, but through prayer and encouragement.
Once you decide to sponsor a day, let me know (you can pick any date from September 1st 2015 – July 31st 2016) and I will make a note of it. You could choose a random day or one that holds significance in your life, like a birthday, anniversary etc. When that day comes around on the WR, you will get an in-depth update of everything we did on that day. If I have access to WiFi we can Skype or FaceTime, if not, you will get a detailed email with pictures and stories of all that went on.
Want to buy more than one day? Go for it! You could even buy one day each month! It is entirely up to you. You could also buy a day or days in a particular country.
