Hey Everybody!

I am kickstarting this next season of fundraising with an easy-to-participate online event. I’m sitting here telling Jesus that it is too wild to start fundraising in the middle of holiday shopping season. People’s pocket books are already stretched. They have their budgets already set.  There is no way I’m going to raise enough support.

This is crazy to do.

But Jesus said January so I’m doing it!

The date 12/12/12 has been laid on my heart for a while. On the the 12th of December 2012, I am inviting friends, family and strangers to give $12 as either a one time donation or as the starter donation for monthly giving. My hope is that it will become a precedent for the following 2013 donation event. I’m inviting individuals and families, youth groups and churches to commit to give $13 on the 13th of the first 4 months of 2013 while I’m in Guatemala!

I need to raise a total of $5000 for 4 months in Guatemala (I was mis-informed on the last blog when I wrote $4000, my apologies). I am trusting God to open up opportunities and resources so that I can make His Name famous wherever He places me. I’m currently being placed in Guatemala and I’m inviting you to be in on this cause it’s gonna be gooood.

I have been praying about this whole play on numbers like 12/12/12 and $13 on the 13th. I was beginning to think it was a little hokey. But in 2011, I was raising funds for 11 countries in 11 months. I think it is cool that God is in the details! It only seemed fitting to continue with the pattern and see what happens. Also, it keeps the FUN in fundraising which as many know can be a beautifully refining process.

If you don’t know what I’ll be doing in Guatemala, here is the vision:

Imagine a place where Americans and Guatemalans live side-by-side, receiving from each other and pouring back into each other what God is doing. Imagine a place where World Racers begin with a radical journey into the deep heart of God. Imagine learning self-sustainability such as natural and hydroponic farming, portable clean water systems, and fish farming. Imagine a place where leaders are trained and sent out across Central America and the world to establish God’s kingdom while being connected and supported by a team.

Essentially, we are establishing a discipleship and launching center for ministers and missionaries. How cool is that! It is so very needed to help equip those who are called by God and willing to go and continue facilitating depth and growth for them as they pour out. While on the field, I saw this need to create community for native ministers out on the fields in every country I visited. And now I get to be a part of a developing vision to help meet that need. Jesus is amazing and knows our hearts and is always, always in the details.

If you’d like to participate and donate, please go to my blog and subscribe! I promise I won’t bombard your already overly active inbox. On my blog, there is a ‘Support Me!’ button on the left-hand side of my blog, click it and you can donate there and the funds will go to my account. There is a an extra fee if you use a credit card, but if you do an online check, the convenience fee is substantially less.

I am praying for long term investors both prayerfully and financially! I believe Jesus is leading me out to the field long term. Even though Guatemala is only 4 months, I believe it is a training ground of sorts for the future.

Even if it is only $5, $10 or $13 dollars a month! Join me! In whatever you feel led to give. If you are interested in being a committed prayer partner, contact me through email at [email protected]. I’d love to chat.

I’m so excited,
