So if you are a future world racer or just wondering what happens at training camp, below is a list of vital things you need to know:

1.Embrace the stank—your going to stink, your squad mates are going to stink

2.Embrace hugs–share the love, if you don’t like physical touch, I can assure you that will change by Day 2

3.Embrace community living—You will be challenged, you will be pushed to your limits, but keep your eyes focused on the reason your there(Christ) and this will be easier for you. Your squad is your family, love them, let them love you, pour into them, let them pour into you. Unity is everything.

4.Embrace staying up all night and waking up early— because well who needs sleep anyways

5.Embrace worship—dancing, singing, shouting, crying, jumping, praying, hands in the air, hands on the floor, all of the above and so much more.

6.Embrace yourself–You are who Abba made you to be, you have gifts that only you bring to the table so use them, love them, and don’t take for granted the amazing person you are.

7.Embrace food—tasty or not, when your hungry you’ll eat anything

8.Embrace change—roll with it, hold everything with open hands

9.Embrace God—He is a good Father, Father is intimate, Father is caring, Father disciplines out of love, Father sees the bigger picture when we can’t, Father knows what he’s doing, always. Trust him, not just in your head, but in your heart, he’s worthy of it.

10.Embrace porta potties—yeah….i feel like that ones self explanatory

11.Embrace bucket showers—(in the 45 degree weather) hence why I only showered once, when I say shower I mean washed my hair…refer to #1.

12. Embrace baby wipes—If you want your body clean, I suggest you bring an unhealthy amount of baby wipes to camp with you, because you will use them and your squad mates will use them.

13.Embrace sharing—whats mine is yours and whats yours is mine, its really a beautiful thing

14.Embrace receiving—when i say receiving I’m speaking of both material things and words, feedback good and challenging. Have an open heart.

15.Embrace being uncomfortable—You and everyone else are in the same boat, so just keep on rowing.

16.Embrace the World Race-This is your calling, don’t let satan try to swoop in and tell you otherwise, because trust me he will try, he’s not happy with your decision to spread the love of Christ to the nations. Therefore, do not be unaware of his schemes.

TRUST in the Lord, he will guide you every step of the way and he has greater things in store for you.

Training camp is just the beginning, embrace this calling for your life and walk in your identity in Christ….the Race is Now!
