Over the last two years, I have endured immense changes in my life. I have gone through some pretty “cray cray” things (if you will) and can finally say that I feel as though I have come out a stronger person. Not only has my spiritual walk been renewed, but my faith in (most of) humanity has been restored.
I am a work in progress and definitely being molded on a daily basis through the interactions I have with people and the situations I am put through. Although we can’t always understand why we go through what we go through – we can learn from everything. God will never lead us into a situation we are not strong enough to get through. We were granted free will and through the choices we make, we can endure through situations and press on triumphantly; or we can struggle. I believe that we are given the people we need in our lives at the appropriate times. We are also able to use the free will we have been gifted with to choose to weed out those that are not bringing out the positivity and greatness in each one of us.
I am sitting in Calgary getting ready to head back to Peterborough and thinking of all the amazing people who I have interacted with over the last few days. I want to thank each and every one of you..
Role call… Leah & Nick, Darcy, Gwen, Dayna, Randy & James, Breedom, Terisa & Trina, those of my Titans family that I got to see (Chels & Dion, Amy, Court, Michelle), my amazing past co-workers at the world’s best workplace MNP (Gwen, Ryan, Vicki, Travis specifically) – THANK YOU! You made the last week a blessing rather than a burden. I appreciate all the words that you shared with me and the time you made out of your crazy schedules to either let me stay with you, invade your workspaces, have coffee/lunches/dinners with, or just reconnect!
Of course just as much thanks goes to all my dearies back home but just focusing on the Alberta folk for this post 😉
..& to the individual that was the cause of the trip here this week: I forgive you. I also thank you. You have made me more aware of my surroundings, my safety, and reinvented my relationship and realization of my dependence on God. You have created an alertness in me that I will move forward with as a gift. As I read these words posted on the Calgary courthouse walls, “Freedom is the right to be wrong, not the right to do wrong” I hope that you have the ability to internalize and learn from these words. I also take these words with me on this trip and realize the beauty of the freedom that we are given here that is not available in other parts of the world.
One last shout out – my ultimate Homeboy waaaay upstairs. You proved once again that Your grace is efficient and all things are possible through you. If Your grace is an ocean, I am definitely drowning in it. Oh, and thanks for the $250 gift towards the Race while I was dealing with one of the most stressful weeks ever – You are faithful!
