Last night I was sitting in my kitchen on my computer. I opened up my donation account and started the mind game with myself of, “Where the heck am I going to get this money from?” Looking at the following deadlines was giving me anxiety:

December – $7500

April 1 – $1100

July 1 – Fully funded

Feeling severely stressed and discouraged I went to bed.

Upon waking up this morning – I had a renewed peace. I am not going to come up with the money. There is nothing in my power that can get this money into this account. I can work as many hours and jobs as I want over the next 4 months – but that will not be my provider for these funds.

The money will come in. I have to trust in God and His time for these funds – not in myself and my own abilities. If it’s Gods’ will – it’s Gods’ bill. He knows that I can’t afford this on my own. He knows that my squad mates that I am going to live and grow with can’t afford it on their own either.

God showed me a verse a long time ago (see verse in picture.) I believe that he was using this verse to show me that I need to do this in every aspect of my life – not just when it’s convenient.

I stumbled across this blog today too. These words couldn’t have come at a better time.                          “To everyone who is fundraising for their big race…let this blog encourage you. The second I released control of fundraising to the Lord, He showed me HUGE favor. He will provide! Give it to Him. I scoffed at World Racers who talked about simple faith and “Daddy providing”. It’s true. He does. In His great and perfect timing! The closer your deadline comes…the more Jesus gets to show off His incredible miracles.”

In true World Racer form – I will leave this blog with a request for funds. By clicking the support me tab on the left hand side – you can choose to help send me to show our global community a love and kindness like they’ve never experienced. If you would like a tax receipt due to being Canadian (woot woot!) you can make any payment out to Mercy of God Ministries with  Britt Charles in the memo in order to receive a receipt.
