Last month my team was in Thailand and we had the opportunity to do all sorts of ministry with YWAM Khon Kaen. We were involved with night market evangelism, dances/dramas, sharing our testimonies with women in drug rehab hospitals and prison, campus ministry, and getting to live at a local orphanage and serve there. It was so neat to be involved with so many different ministries. God is up to some really big things in Thailand and it was awesome to be a part of it for a month.

One of the ministries that I enjoyed the most was getting to perform dances/dramas. My first reaction when I heard this was something we were going to have to do, I was not into it. I do not like being in front of people, especially performing a dance or drama. We were told Friday morning we had to have a dance prepared for Friday night to perform at the night market. (I start slightly freaking out inside). We had a few hours to prepare. A dance routine was created and taught to the team in only 2 hours. To my surprise, I really enjoyed getting to create choreography to a fun song!

The moment finally came when it was our time to perform in front of all these strangers at a night market. Even though I was so nervous, I just had fun with it and actually really loved doing it. The thing is that people in Thailand were open to us dancing and it drew in a crowd to the station we were at. It’s funny how I ended up loving getting to create and perform dances. Yes, I felt cheesy at times, but it was fun. God was showing me that different types of ministry work in different countries, and I need to be willing to try them.

Overall Thailand was a great month with so many ministry opportunities. The people are so wonderful, the food is delicious, and God is up to so many amazing things there! It was a true blessing to have a chance to plant seeds and love on the Thai people.
