Yesterday I got my two bottom wisdom teeth out. There is a dentist here in San Salvador that came recommended by our contact Bob. Everything went smoothly, I am wisdom teeth free, after picking out some apple sauce and ice cream at the store we headed home. When we got back to the house the girls greeted me with hugs and “how are you’s . I took the pain meds and anti-biotic they gave me; a quick twenty minutes later I was feeling hot and itchy all over. It was an allergic reaction to the anti-biotic they had given me, so I stepped outside to try and cool off with my teammate Heather who was in the process of teaching three of the girls, Gabriela, Rosa, and Julia how to play the guitar. I guess the girls could tell I was in rough shape because Gabriela said, “¿Podemos orar para ella? Neither Heather nor myself speak Spanish very well at all, eventually after Gabriela mimed what she was saying we figured out she was asking, “Can we pray for you? Of course I welcomed the prayer, the three girls came over to me along with Heather and laid hands on me, we were soon joined by another one of the girls Gabo who saw what was happening and wanted to join in. It was one of my favorite moments on the race, these 14 year old girls being so bold in believing the Lord for healing and stepping out in their faith to pray for me. I felt much better after their prayer, it is amazing to see the Lord working through these girls, and to see the trust that they have in their Savior. Team Beloved am so blessed to be here this month spending time with this family.
