Dear Friends,

For the past several years I have had the opportunity to help others and get to know new people as I have worked in the fields of special education and home health care. However, I have found that my true passion lies in missions. God continues to open my eyes and heart to the hurt and brokenness around the world. Every person is in need of Jesus Christ. This past summer I sensed the Lord preparing me for a major leap of faith. He was asking me to trust Him over something outside of my comfort zone.

in 2014, I went on a mission trip to Ireland with Adventures in Missions (ADV), an interdenominational missions organization. Adventures in Missions has sent over 100,000 people onto the mission field since 1989. ADV partners with local churches and ministries to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children trapped in human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of God’s love to His children around the world. In 2006, ADV began the World Race (WR), a life-changing journey to eleven countries over the course of eleven months  (#11n11). The WR is a movement to call young adults out of their comfort zones and expose them to what God is doing in the world. After doing much research and a lot of prayer, I felt that God was calling me to serve with ADV once again by going on the World Race.

I will face many challenges as I prepare to leave as well as throughout the World Race. Please be in prayer over how God may be calling you to support this trip. First and foremost, we need Prayer Warriors to pray for our team, for the people in the countries God is sending us to, and for God’s will to be done. I will be sending out monthly newsletters with updated prayer requests by email.

We also need Encouragers who are willing to send words of positivity, support, and Bible verses our way throughout the 11 months. Finally, one of the greatest needs is financial support. Like most other missions organizations, World Race participants are required to fundraise financial support. In order to leave fully funded in October of 2016, I need to raise  $16,961*. This money will cover the expenses while on the field and can be paid to Adventures in Missions by check or online at the link on my blog site. If you feel called to give a non-deductible personal gift, I also need to cover the costs of some required supplies, such as a tent and backpacking equipment. As I take this large step of faith in trusting the Lord, would you prayerfully consider joining me at  $100 monthly or some other amount?

I would love to talk with you more to answer any questions you may have about the WR. Currently, I am meeting with a number of people, face-to-face or via Skype, to share about this opportunity with Adventures in Missions. It would be a privilege to briefly visit with you. Please send me an email if you would like to receive the monthly newsletter.

Yours in Christ,

Brittany Nichols
