Sometimes it's hard to go on a straight path without looking back. The past can haunt you, or make you. It's hard to be transparent, especially if you have trust issues, because it leaves you vulnerable.
Willow Creek Global Leadership Summit speaker and author of the book 'Get Naked', Patrick Lencioni said:
"Faking sincerity is the exact opposite of vulnerability, which Lencioni claims is the key to success. “Without the willingness to be vulnerable, we will not build deep and lasting relationships in life. That’s because there is no better way to earn a person’s trust than by putting ourselves in a position of unprotected weakness and demonstrating that we believe they will support us."
Tying these two together to put in simple terms, Don't be fake, cause if you are, the truth is going to come out eventually when you show your true self. How can you expect people to trust and open up to you, if your not willing to do the same?
