When you sign up for such a large adventure, your bound to wonder what you will do and have some sort of expectations. Now, I have been warned by past and current racers that say to let go of all your expectation. But, there are a few things that my teammates should expect from me:
- I talk a Lot, and go off track and change subjects all the time.
- i will take bucket loads of pictures. (Hope y'all aren't camera shy!)
- If there's a crazy storm, I'm either in the middle of it or by the nearest window taking pics and or video:)
- I'm not a real big morning person, so if I'm a grump in the morning, please forgive me
- I may have a hard time on the planes, my ears don't like the pressure adjustments. . .
- My sense of direction is terrible.
- If there is a snake around, I will either be having a panic attack, be on the roof of the tallest thing near, or be on the ground past out.
But, with all of that being said, you may also expect:
- Some pretty good laughs.
- Great stories.
- Lots of love.
- Good food (love to be creative and fix things up).
- Me to be the shoulder you need to cry on, the perfect hug that you may need, the one to just sit and listen, the one to give my best advice, the one to make you laugh when I could actually be serious (the girls at work love those priceless moments)
- Me to show love to every person I can.
- To have an adventure of a lifetime.
I know that they say not to have expectations, but I expect:
- To try and change and effect as many lives as I can, while I can.
- To be changed myself. 11 months is a long time to be away from everyone and everything I know. And with being in 11 countries, I'm sure I will experience new things.
- To gain brothers and sisters in Christ.
- To gain many new friends
- To gain many new memories.
- And to truly get to see and experience what God has created and offers.
I still have a lot of fundraising to do. So feel free to go to my site and click on the box on the left that says Support Me! brittanyjohnston.theworldrace.org
