World race?

Call me crazy, but quitting my job, packing a 50lb back back, which includes my tent, hammock, and sleeping bag, leaving everything and everyone behind, and living out of that backpack for 11 months in 11 countries sounds totally fine by me. Scary? Heck yes! But, totally worth it:) Or so I hear:)
It all began about a year or two ago.. I was on facebook and saw this thing called the world race. It looked pretty awesome so I decided to check it out. I found out that you had to be 21, so I didn’t think much of it. But inside I hoped i could do it when I turned 21:). Some time went by and I decided to look up mission trips that involved multiple countries. And what came up? That’s right. At the top was this thing by Adventures in Missions. It was called: The World Race. So I really started looking into it. Once I saw how much it was, I was like ‘there’s noooo way I can afford $15,500!!’.
More time went on, and when I started day-dreaming, the WR kept popping up. I started doing some research and started reading as many blogs as I could. (You would think that I would be a top notch blogger by now!) I emailed a few racers (past, current, and future racers) and started asking the typical questions that people may have. And one thing kept coming up. Trust God, and just Do It. Just make that leap and sign up. So I talked to my mom about it, and she was on board! And little things that happened that most would consider a ‘coincidence’, I figured must be a God thing.
Sooooooooooooo, here I am, about to lay it all down and sign up:) just an ordinary girl from Gloucester, Virginia:)
