After riding 50 hours on buses my team finally made it to Mbeya, Tanzania where we will be for the month.

Our first bus ride took 36 hours and we rode from Kampala, Uganda through Nairobi, Kenya and stopped in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Then our second bus ride took us from Dar to Mbeya.

This month we are working with a local church. We’ll be visiting some schools, a hospital and doing house visits. Then the 17th-22nd we’ll visit a village a couple hours away.

Please pray for renewed strength as we enter our last month in Africa. God has really done some great things while we’ve been here, and I know He’s going to do so much more this month! 🙂

——————————————————————————————————————-
Last month, in Kampala, Uganda, we ended our last week there by doing a vacation Bible school for the kids in the neighborhood around the church. There we’re so many kids that came and it was so much fun! We taught them a couple parables from the Bible: the Good Samaritan, and the Lost Sheep. We were able to do a couple skits, and crafts and games with them as well.

Then our last night in Kampala the church we worked with had a huge party for us. We had tons of food, singing, dancing, even the chairman who leads all the pastors in that area came to see us.

The Pastor and his wife and 4 kids were a huge blessing in my life. They were so encouraging and really made the month special for all of us. A couple of prayer requests for them: the Pastor has to have hernia surgery on Nov. 8th, and his wife lost her job about 2 weeks ago. Someone robbed the place she worked at and took all the money so they can’t afford to pay her anymore. Please pray for renewed strength and peace for both of them.
