I really have this desire in my heart to go out and help people. Coming from my perspective, I just want to show others that they are loved and noticed, whether it’s saying a simple hello or striking up a conversation with the group of homeless people downtown. All I know is God has put this fire down in my soul to love everyone.
In my situation, I live in a safe house for women who have been abused and involved in human trafficking. Because of my testimony and what I have been through, I can relate to women who feel alone, scared and hopeless. For awhile there I was in an abusive relationship and was dependent on alcohol and men to make me feel better. All of that was temporarily filling though. That feeling didn’t last, and even then it wasn’t fulfilling me completely. In fact, it kept tearing me down. I see women out there that are going through that now and I want to minister to them and love on them the way Jesus did for me. I am so thankful He rescued me and has given me this oppurtunity to shine the light.
Womens ministry is so close to my heart now and going on the world race I will have the oppurtinity to share my heart with women involved in human trafficking. It brings me so much joy to know God is using my past to build His kingdom.
I not only have a passion for women; I want to show love to the homeless, to children, to the elderly. Everybody!!!
Matthew 28:16-20
The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
He says to ALL the nations, that means everyone to the ends of the Earth and back. I am so excited to fulfill His calling for me!!! I pray you will continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
