I’m a missionary! Actually, we’re all missionaries, God just uses us in different ways. We all have different gifts. Think about it this way, even though we have been blessed with diversity and gifts, we’re all striving for the same purpose which is to spread the name of Jesus. His love is unconditional and it goes to the ends of the Earth.
I get nervous in front of big crowds or when I’m being recorded for a bunch of people to see. Last week in Sisterhood (my churches women’s ministry) I had the opportunity to record a video for all of Sisterhood to see. It was based around my identity and who I am today. God definitely has a sense of humor. During the recording I decided to not wear makeup and almost doubted myself. I decided not to and be obedient. Little did I know that the weeks topic was titled ‘identity’. In my heart I know He confirmed to me that I had done the right thing. I now don’t define my identity by the way I look but how my heart is. 2 years ago I was not the same person, I had all those Christ like qualities buried deep inside of me and I just needed some seeds planted inside of me and now they’re flourishing all because of Jesus Christ and His promises! I pray that those gifts Christ has instilled in you will grow continually just as He has done for me. I love to serve and make others feel welcomed wherever they are.
