The other day I got a phone call at work. For most people that is not an unusual thing but it is for me. I have worked at the same place for 3.5 years and have received about 3 phone calls (and that is a generous number) in that time. This last phone call was… well… maybe one of the best calls I have ever received. It was a customer that had been in the shop earlier in the week and her daughter had seen my change jar and said something to her. She was asking me for more information about the World Race because she was thinking about donating so I gave her all the information that I knew off the top of my head and told her about my blog. After I hung up the phone I thought that was cool and left it at that, I didn’t actually expect her to donate anything but it was awesome to know that people actually read the sign.

The next day I didn’t really think about the phone call and it was a normal day at the pie shop. I left work and went on to the next job and while I was there I received another phone call.  I didn’t answer because I didn’t recognize the number. It was one of the ladies from work (for some reason I don’t have my work number programmed into my phone) and she left me a message saying that someone had come in and left me a donation with a note. When I called her back she was very excited and told me again that the lady had left me $100 and a note.   When I got to work I got the envelop and put it in my purse to open later. When I finally opened the note it gave me chills and I was so grateful. On the front was a prayer.  In the note on the back she said that she is not sure why our paths crossed but she felt the need to donate to my mission trip. She had also said that this was birthday money she was holding on to and was originally going to give me $50 but she felt God telling her to give it all to me.  The letter went on to say that she hopes that others a blessed through me.  I am so grateful.  Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far!

God is real and he is moving.
