Every time my eyes begin to drift toward the waves instead of on the One who made the very ocean, my Jesus lifts me up and wraps me in His arms. This week I have been so lost in the enormity of my to do list, the amount of my money I need to raise, and the doubts about whether I have made the right decision for this next year. But every single time, Jesus has come to my rescue and He’s used the people all around me to do it. When my to do list looms so large that I don’t know where to begin, He sends someone in to help take something off my plate. When the amount of money I need to raise becomes stifling, an unexpected donation shows up in my account. When the doubts start swirling in my head, a random e-mail with the exact words I need to hear pops up on my phone. It is in these times that I am reminded that my God is the God who will provide.
I love how God chooses to use us to show one another His amazing love. Today alone I was so overwhelmingly blessed by a couple in my community group who so selflessly donated gear for me to use this next year. Beyond that they offered their traveling expertise and precious time to help me pack (which is definitely needed since I am a complete over-packer). I am amazed at the generosity of the people God has placed in my life!
Now, with only $2,900 needed until I reach my August deadline, I am confident that the God who has provided in the past is the same God who will provide in both the present and the future.
