Dear Family and Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well! I just wanted to take a little time to let you in on what is going on in my life. 2011 began with me stating that I wanted to step out and live boldly and courageously for Christ. Little did I know that a mere six months later I would be taking a leave of absence from my teaching job (which I absolutely love), preparing to sell many of my belongings, and heading out on a new adventure halfway across the world!
As you know two of my biggest passions are kids and the eradication of human trafficking. I never would have dreamed that there would be a trip that so beautifully orchestrated the convergence of the two. The World Race (www.theworldrace.org) is just that! During an 11-month, 11 country missions trip, I will have the opportunity to work with both orphans and victims of human trafficking as well as partner with local ministries and organizations to preach the Gospel, plant churches, teach English, build relationships with those in the communities, and be the hands and feet of Jesus to “the least of these” (Matt. 25:40).
I am so excited for this opportunity that I have to “go into all the world and preach the good news” (Matt. 28:19)! I can’t do it alone, though. For this reason, I ask you to prayerfully consider being my spiritual and financial partner on this journey. There have been times in my life where I have been both the one sent and the sender and I realize that it takes both parts working together to impact the Kingdom of God. While the amount of the trip is daunting ($15,000), I know that God will supply all of my needs. I am praying that a huge part of that supply is you. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as a monthly donation where you choose the amount you would like to give each month. If 25 people would commit to giving $50 every month for the next 12 months, every part of my trip would be covered! This amount is merely an example as any amount helps tremendously.
