You know sometimes people like to call us radical, untraditional, and well Jesus Freaks.
People call us WEIRD.
Francis Chan brings attention to the fact that we are in fact NOT WEIRD.
If your story was placed inside the bible would people think it was extreme?
Or would we just skip on past it like it was genealogy (don’t act like you don’t skip over those names)…sometimes I do.
My point is that if you look at the lives of world racers past and present compared to the people in the bible would it really be that crazy? Paul traveled all over to tell people about Jesus…
MISSIONARIES ARE DOING THE SAME THING.
I guess what I am trying to say is that to me the world seems crazy. We are told over and over again Money talks. You’ll be happier with more stuff. All you need is to have a good time. Go to school for as long as you can before you HAVE to get a job. Do what makes YOU happy. Basically serve yourself before others. This thinking is what should be considered weird.
I DON’T WANT TO SERVE MYSELF.
I know the kind of mistakes I’ve made, the dumb choices. The way I used to get so moody. How I let others take the place of God in my life, letting my happiness be in their hands (friends, boyfriends, even family)
THE POINT IS I’M GLAD GOD IS DOING THE LEADING AND I THE FOLLOWING.
He works everything for good.
If the world thinks I’m weird well, that’s fine.
