I get home July 1st. That is
INSANE.
23 days from where I stand.
I just want to fill people in on some
of my plans for returning home.
I’ll be home in time for the 4th
and I’m so happy. Nothing gives you country pride like leaving for a
year….although I’ve always been one to love everything about 4th
of July. Let’s just say I’ve reached another level.
July 12th through the 22nd
I will be going on a short term missions trip to Cairo, Egypt.
I’ve always had a heart for the place
and I couldn’t explain why. Just a passion that I have to act on. A
couple of people from my home church and I are going to partner with
a couple who are the sister & brother in-law of the Music
minister Brian and his wife Melissa, who are also going on the trip.
We are going to be participating in a
youth camp that will be in it’s 3rd year. I would
appreciate prayers for the camp, that God moves in huge ways there.
Also for travel mercy and protection.
I’m fully funded (PRAISE THE LORD who
always provides when he calls) for the world race thanks to all you
amazing supporters and prayer partners. You rock!
In this calling to Egypt I am calling
out to you again. I am in need of $800 dollars to go Egypt. If ever
you felt the call to support me I would be greatly blessed if you
decided to do so again or for the first time. I would also like it if
you could partner with me in prayer for this trip as well. Because I
will only be home from the race for around 10 days before I leave
again. I would like it to be a smooth turn around 🙂
The really awesome thing about this
short term trip is that my Mom is going as well. What and awesome
thing that God has both our hearts in missions. I can’t imagine how
awesome it’s going to e serving, traveling, and even just being with
my mom will be. I’m pretty excited! God’s going to move again I know
it.
After Egypt I will be back at home
hanging out with my family, my sister and brothers. I’m so excited to
see and be with them. To see my mom and dad I can’t wait til my plane
lands back in the 918. home sweet home. I will be working in a couple
of the ministries I’ve helped with before some local stuff and
hopefully continue staying involved in the youth group as well. I
will be going back to my nanny job with the Brown family in September
but also trying to stay open and available for more missions
opportunities. We’ll see what God has.
All in all I’m ready for this new
season in life. As hard as the transition to com may be I know God
has equipped me. He has provided me with lifelong friends…brothers
and sisters from this year that I will hold dear to my heart. Instead
of skyping home we’ll be skyping each other. I think that’s pretty
cool that our teams and squad as a whole have become family….one
big one. The way it should be.
If you are interested in supporting me
on the short-term missions trip to Egypt you could contact me on facebook, email, or through the contact me button on the left-hand side of the screen if you have any questions. OR you could contact my mom (
Jennifer Grant ) or Ridgeway Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and
just let them know you would like to support Brittany Grant. It would
be so amazing if the trip was fully funded before I got home from the
race. I know God can do it. Thank you all for reading my blogs and
supporting me through life’s transitions.
Love all around, brit
