Jambo!
Well we made it to Tanzania. We are living in Iringa. We’ve been able to be part of 3 church services a week and to teach English classes but a lot of our ministry this month is our team. I feel like we are at a point where we are building into each other. This is the point where community becomes a part of us. We are living, learning and laughing together. It’s awesome to be a part of this family. We literally do life together. Take care of each other when we are sick (thank you Priscilla and monica), cook food together, get advice from each other (and sometimes we ask for it) haha we just get to be.
I love it.
I’m doing well these days. I get to see God’s creation at its finest here in Tanzania it is unbelievably beautiful here in the mountains the sky is breathtaking and the people are so kind. I’m sort of at a loss for words. I’m taking in a lot lately. Just learning what God has for me in the days to come and how to get there. I’m striving to become a better woman whether that means learning to think before I speak at all times or to be creative when cooking over an open fire for 8 people. I’m trusting in God these days. With no inhibitions. I’m ready to be used to work towards furthering the kingdom in ways I could have never comprehended a year ago.
I’m listening. I’m waiting. I’m still.
I’m taking it all in. everything I can absorb. I want to learn to be more like you.
My prayer is that you be with all of the people I’ve been able to be in relationship with this year. I hope that you will give them each a mentor someone who can come alongside them and spur them on. I pray that you touch every life I’ve been able to be a part of. This blessing you have given me is so precious I get to do your work, speak your words and live the way you have asked me to.
I thank you all who are supporting me in prayer you have been my backbone and you will be blessed for you are doing what God has asked of you. Asante sana (thank you very much in Kiswahili)
I love you guys thanks for reading my jumbled thoughts : )
