ROMANIA!

So currently I live on a farm in Romania. My team and I are with team FUEL. We live in Arcalia a small town in Romania. Tuesday morning we left our campsite in Galway Ireland at 8 a.m. then bussed to Dublin 3 hours away then flew out at 3 p.m. we landed in  Bucharest, Romania 10 p.m.  local time (we lost two hours) then proceeded  to buss 12 hours to Arcalia. Talk about a long travel day. Ha. It was fun though. My team is living with a family of 5 girls, to boys, and a mom and dad. ON A FARM. Literally. Pigs, chickens, chicks, ducks, cows the whole nine yards. It’s been intense to say the least. The family we are staying with is so nice they cook for us non stop and we are just down the road from our friends FUEL (hope, Emily, michelle, geoff, marissa, mel, and colin) so we get to team up with them and it is such a blessing. Our teams work well together on top of we just completely enjoy the time we get to spend together.  We’ve been working with the little kids just hangin out playin futball P.S. did I mention we don’t have a translator? that’s been fun. We’ve learned a couple of words like balinga which means poop and mosemesk  which is thank you also im not sure if I’m spelling these right. Ha anyway we are just fellowshipping with the kids they just hang around all day and love to play. We’ve been helping the families we are living with and some people the community.  It’s SO crazy we haven’t even been gone for a month  yet its only the 5th ha. It may have been a month by the time I get to upload this though. Oh tomorrow is our day off and we are riding a train into town to get online and to grab a few essentials like baby wipes, tissue, qtips you know things that the average magazine (little family shop) doesn’t have. Oh today we had a church service in a yard with chickens it was pretty cool because some of the other teams got to come and a team from the jan 09 race got to come to our village to the service so that was very fun. Monica, Sam, and I led worship that was nerve racking but really fun at the same time. Colin, Brenda, Geoff, and Marissa all talked and it was awesome first time we’ve got to do a church service (luckily the other team lives with a translator)it was the churches 3rd week of meeting and next week is going to be a revival so that’s going to be awesome. More updates on that later . Looks like our free time is going to be every Monday this month so expect a blog around then but remember I’m 8 hours difference from you all now.(CRAZY). Anyway I’ll be posting some pics on face book so check there.
