Hey! So it’s taken me forever to get into this! So here I am. finally. First of all my name is Brittany but only like 3 people call me that….most commonly I’m known as Bee, Poke, Poca, or Brit. Ha. poca & poke evolved from pocahontas. My best friend Meredith and her younger sister Allison both said I looked like her within minutes of each other once upon a time in 7th grade. Here is a picture of us in front of her house at school this past semester.
Okay stuff about me….I’m 20 my birthday will be during training (i think i may be the youngest going on the race?)….I am the oldest of 4 children i have one sister Kayleigh she’s 19, a brother Trey 13, and the youngest Garrett a ripe 10 years old. My family has always been in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I absolutely love it here I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Both of my Grandmothers, Aunts, and Uncles all live here at least in the immediate family so it’s really nice. I grew up going to church at least two times a week which has really shaped me. Thanks mom! I now help in the youth on wednesday nights and attend lifechurch on sundays.

I graduated 2007 from Booker T. Washington High School (the pride of the GREAT southwest.) woooo GO HORNETS! ha. I’m so glad I got to attend BTW it was an amazing experience. I met so many awesome life long friends there and luckily a lot of my friends from middle school also got in. Here is a picture of me and the boys, the best boys I know. friends going on 9 years.

Okay more about me I am an art major and one day hope to teach elementary art but who knows that could all change because of this trip which I kind of am all for. I LOVE music. Coldplay is my all-time favorite. Although i love so many artists….John Frusciante, Radiohead, Dave Matthews, The Strokes, The White Stripes, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Bjork, Beck, Bonobo, SIgur Ros, Third Eye Blind, Andrew Bird, The smiths, The Beatles, Placebo, Battles, and Here is there. Just to name a few. ha I love going to concerts so heres a pic or two of that:

1. i have taken german since 2nd grade.
2. i hate odd numbers on the car volume.
3. green is my favorite color
4. i was born with a dislocated hip. i have hip problems sometimes. i’m a grandma.
5. my entire room is like a bulletin board.
6. i sleep with 6 pillows on my bed
7. i drive a montero sport. its my favorite.
8. i have broken the outside bone in my left foot 3 times. twice in one year.
9. gilmore girls is my favorite show i could relate almost anything in life to it. i’d have to say the office is a close second and arrested development third.
10.i have this addiction to buying cd’s
11. i’ve always wanted to go to egypt. i’m really pumped about october!
