I am so incredibly stoked to be able to share my journey with anyone willing to listen!
A little about me:
Born and raised in the lovely city of Jacksonville Florida. I’m so in love with my crazy family of 5. I have the most amazing parents in the world who are still happily married and have selflessly done all they can to love me through my crazy years. And trust me, it wasn’t easy. I’m the oldest of 3 with a younger brother and sister. My sister and I are literally polar opposites but I think I would die without her sanity to my insanity. My brother is the most sarcastic person I’ve ever met but he’s also the most selfless. I came to know Jesus in high school, but I didn’t really encountered Him until I was sitting on a rooftop in Guatemala in December of 2010. That was moment I knew I was created for so much more. I knew in that moment I was meant to sell out for the gospel: to know Him and to make Him known in all the nations.
Here’s the part where I tell you how I’m probably one of the most awkward humans you’ve ever met. I laugh at the most ridiculous things and I’ll hug pretty much anyone because I don’t believe in strangers. I drink way too much coffee. I cry over everything. Literally. I find so much joy in being outside but I absolutely can’t stand running. Like I hate it with a passion. Sunrises and sunsets bring the biggest smile to my face and heart. I think spontaneity is my middle name. I have a heart for women and teenagers trapped in the lies of slavery and this world.
So why The World Race? Why now?
I simply have reached the point in my life where I want more.
More that this life has to offer.
More than the 9-5 American life.
More of Him and less of me.
I want to know that I can serve God no matter the circumstances.
I know God has called me to live a life of serventhood. And that’s easy to do when it’s something you want or when you get something in return, but what about the days you don’t?
Will I really serve Him no matter what it costs me?
