8 weeks until I leave for launch!
I am fully vaccinated and my one-way plane ticket is booked.
This is really happening and I feel it.
I’ve had a heavy heart this past week. The reality that I’m going to help others in need but will be abandoning my friends and family at the same time has really set in. I won’t be here to take your phone call in the middle of the night when you’re locked out of the house. I won’t be here to pull a sugar glider out of the back of your refrigerator. I won’t be here to find the missing piece to the puzzle you’ve been working on for 8 hours. I won’t be here to make you chili and grilled cheese. I won’t be able to surprise you with flowers, cards, and notes to get you through your rough week.
Maybe abandoning is too strong a word, but that’s what it feels like.
I know you don’t need me here for any of those thing- you’re all capable, strong, motivated people. But that doesn’t dismiss my want or need to be available to you.
There’s my heart & I’ll give it up to Him.
Standing in a crowd of 250 people my age, who share my faults and heartache, on fire for God with our hands raised completely taken by His presence… that was my favorite part of training camp.
That is what we are going to teach others about.

On another note I want to remind you all that financially supporting me is NOT the only way to be a part of this mission. Your prayers and reassuring words mean the world to me as well. I want as many people as possible to be a part of this mission for His Kingdom. I want people reading my stories of His love and feeling closer to Him. That being said I encourage you to share what I’ll be doing this next year with ONE person this week. Keep it simple or give them the details. Let them hear it all from you or read it for themselves on my blog. However you decide to spread the word, know that you’re encouraging me in my walk.
My request for you this week is to pray. Pray for me, my squad, leadership, the countries we are visiting, and the people we will be sharing the Gospel with. Pray for open minds & forgiving hearts. Pray that when we’re asked to preach, only His words come out. Pray we keep our eyes on what really matters.
