Sorry! I was informed that the picture didn't load!
It should be working now!!
It was my last day of ministry, we were driving to debrief when I saw it.
The picture that spoke 1000 words.
The picture that summed up the Philippines.
I was staring out the Jeepney window in awe.
It was everything I had seen all wrapped up into one…

What I saw was endless slums infront of the skyline of downtown Manila.
I just don't understand.
The Philippines have it all.
Starbucks and slums.
Wealth and poverty,
Skyscrappers and cardboard buildings.
Mega malls and roadside shacks.
Fashionistas and unclothed children.
Super Highways and dirt roads.
How could such extremes be so close to each other?
How does this all fit together?
It's been several days
and I still don't get it,
and I am sure its not the last time I will see such extremes…
I am also sure that i serve a great God.
I serve a God that is soverign and just and loves each of us like crazy.
A God that has not forgotten about any of His people; not the ones in the slums nor the ones at Starbucks.
Please partner with me in praying for the Philippines.
Love to all,
Brittany
