Hey, it’s me! Long time, no see. I have been traveling for a long time (70 hours total on bus and plane and even one 20 hour bus ride, yeah crazy!) and thankfully through a lot of prayer my team and I have made it to South Africa safely. I actually haven’t been able to find strong enough wifi that will allow me to upload a video that I made way back about the orphanage New Hope that we were volunteering at. But, I’ll hopefully be able to show you a piece of what stole my heart completely one day so keep your eyes out for Part 2 which will include a video! They are crazy, silly, and sweet all at the same time, I miss them so much already!

So if you’re wondering and curious for more details….A day in the life– It was something else, like when somebody tells you “You’re something else”, I take it as a compliment because it means they’ve never seen or experienced anything like it and that is what Cambodia felt like. We would take a tuk tuk to the orphanage everyday and were welcomed with open arms from day one. Relationships grew as we bonded by playing endless matches of volleyball, teaching English with songs and games, talking and playing cards under shelter from the sun, getting extremely creative & making the hot days bearable, going to the rice field to run and play on hay stacks, dancing until there are noticeable sweat stains all over, and also simply being a child with them, loving on them, and pointing them to Christ their Father. They truly made leaving hard to do!

As most of you know Cambodia was not a part of our route, but God had a divine appointment for all of us. There were a lot of unknowns, but his plans are higher than our own, and my soul will sing He has done great things! I could not have imagined anything more life changing than this month thanks to our Father’s amazing love adopting us into His family! Even as cliche as it is, I left a piece of my heart there and those children have left a mark on my heart!

I LOVE CAMBODIA!
