I love flowers, but I could never own a garden and maintain it, although I would like to, it’s just not for me. I’m likely the girl that walks by and picks the pretty flower I didn’t grow just to put it in my hair… selfish, I know, I’m working on it!

However, in Thailand I’ve gotten a taste of what “gardening” looks like. The work that God has done in Thailand through my team was like starting a garden. He found a place he wanted to start planting seeds and through his tender love and care sent my team to SiKoraphum, Thailand. And what a blessing it was! There’s a part of me that just wanted to stay longer to water the seeds of his love planted in the hearts of teachers, students, a coffee shop regular, and our beloved barista, but I am trusting God that he will continue to water those seeds.

It’s hard because I can’t see if there is a sprout or if there are even roots spreading out. I feel as if I am supposed be able to measure the effect my team had in some way by presenting a beautiful garden full of healthy flowers we can all pick, but I cannot, all I have is a dirt plot.

What is visible to you and I is not much, but I’m shaking the dirt of my hands, handing the watering can to God, and walking in faith that what God has going on underneath the surface will soon be his love rising up in a place that was once a dry land.

Although this was hard to understand at first I am overjoyed about this garden! I know God is going to nourish this place. We may never see with our own eyes a garden full of flowers and Gods love, but with Christ we can know without a shadow of a doubt God’s garden will grow and his love will overflow!

“…that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” -Ephesians 3:17-21

I made a video. I am far from a videographer, but I hope you enjoy watching just some of the moments of the race I had in Thailand!

I am currently in Cambodia. The travel was not easy, but we are all thankful to have all made it safely! Thank you so much for your prayers!

We had team changes so that’s exciting. I get to know 5 more sisters in Christ and we are working in an orphanage in Pursat! A lot is changing on this side of the world; please pray that we press into God through all of the challenges that come our way!

I’ll have wifi once a week so communication will be slim! I love you all!

Miss ya,

Britt
