Hi! My name is Britt! Welcome to my blog (: I am 23 years old completing my last semester of college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I will be receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Social Work after five long years of college! I am super outgoing and I love to be around people. I have been in a relationship with one of the greatest guys I know for four years and look forward to many more years together! Some of my favorite things to do in life are singing, traveling, shopping, pretty much any sports activity, church activities, bible studies, CrossFit, and spending time with friends and family. I have been on two mission trips since graduating high school in 2010 to Ecuador and Uganda. God laid the desire to take the Gospel to the nations on my heart from the start of high school, and has cultivated that in my life in so many radical ways, including the World Race. God continues to open doors of opportunities for me to be the hands and feet, so I continue moving through those doors in eagerness to see his name reach the corners of the earth!

I found out about the World Race through a friend in my hometown who had been on the race. In August of 2014 I felt the calling of God stronger than ever in my life and I knew where he was leading me, but I was uneasy about leaving everything I knew for 11 months. I knew this was what God wanted for my life, so after a long week of wrestling with God I said “Yes Lord, but I need your help” and began praying for God’s direction and guidance for my life. I applied in February of 2015 and was accepted in March! I will launch January 2016! I am overjoyed that the Lord chose me to go to the ends of the earth to share his love for the nations in this way! I am excited for this season in my life and cannot wait to share all that God is doing in my life and in my heart throughout my preparation and time on the Race!

I am so excited to be able to share in this season of my life with you while preparing and while on the World Race! I ask that you join me in this journey with your prayers, encouragement, and support!

Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
