I wake up…turn on the flashlight in my tent…rub my sleepy eyes…and unzip my tent. I reach out to grab my sandels and instead I find a flower…some candy…and a great note!

I love Valentines Day! In the states I have known girls that would ´outlaw´valentines day by wearing black clothes or ignoring those who recognized it….but not me!
I love it! I love to watch couples in love…I love to see others lavished with love in the form of notes, gifts, time spent together. Valentines Day is refreshing to me…
I spent some of the day thinking on love (and having the song stuck in my head ¨how sweet it is to be loved by you¨). What does it look like to really love. I read through what the scripture says about love…¨they will know us by our love¨ – ¨love comes from God¨- ¨how great the love that God has lavished out on us that we could be called children of God¨ – there are so many places love is revisited. Jesus life was lived out in love. I wonder if mine is the same?
I had a friend in college that said to me once, ¨Brienna, if you give out only love…you will recieve love in return. If you speak words of love…you will recieve love.¨ It´s so true…
love is contagious!
So that´s my prayer today…that I will live a life of love. And not only to those that I enjoy but to those who get under my skin and to those that aren´t easy to love. I want to love.
