Bringing Help and Hope to Families at Risk
Purpose Statement:
Threads of Hope assists the economically oppressed in under-developed countries to establish home enterprises that will provide an income, through the development of products that can be sold world-wide. Funds generated through sales and donations will primarily be used to help meet the physical, educational and spiritual needs of the communities where the products are made.
Many of you know that I am selling handmade bracelets from the Philippines as a fundraiser. I am very excited about this fundraiser, as 50% of the funds go directly back to the families that create these bracelets. This ministry was started when the local missionaries realized many families in the Phillippines were selling their children into prostitution in order to provide for their families. They wanted an alternative and decide to launch Threads of Hope. Many of my teammates have also participated in this fundraiser and it has been awesome to learn about this ministry over in the Philippines. They arrived in the mail yesterday (all 1,000 of them!) and I am still looking for help with selling them! I have brochures to send with them, so that you can pass them out along with the bracelets. They can be sold at work, school, to family members, to friends, you can send out an email, etc. It’s up to you! There is no risk, as they are all completely returnable. They are only $1.00 and come in a variety of colors. Typically, people will buy more than one bracelet. I already had one person commit to purchasing 20 just for herself!
