Hello dear friends!
Sometimes I do not know what to say or write and honestly nothing really thought-provoking comes to mind. SO, I thought I would just give some updates on life and the progress of the race for now, and if something comes up as I write, there we go! π
Alright, so life now is wonderful and crazy at the same time.
So much is happening around me, some HUGE and some just lovely in their simple ways:
–My best friend of 10 years is getting married on Saturday to an amazing man of God! I could not be more excited and happy for the two of them! All glory and praise to God for bringing them together for His purposes!
–My brother is starting to get into marching band as he goes into high school this year! He plays alto sax, and he is the only freshmen in his section! And he is going to be in JROTC as well. I am so very proud of him and ask you to keep him in your prayers as he begins this new, busy, chapter in his life called high school.
–I am going to be a counselor at my church's sr. high camp next week, which I am so excited about! I am praying for God to move big time. I know He wants to do great things, so I am praying that us and the students will be ready and open to Him! I'm also going to 'college camp' which my church is doing for the first time, which is going to be like 3 days of regular camp but much more laid back and chill. I'm really excited to get back to Nosoca Pines and explore all of our old haunts from years past, it's going to be marvelous. π
–THE LORD HAS PROVIDED ME WITH A JOB! Praise Him! I have been looking and looking for a job, but it is so hard to find something when you aren't exactly able to be flexible! I am going to be working with a nannying service in charlotte run by a woman I know from my church. And it is totally fine that I would be leaving it in January! She said that is fine, and I can come back when I return! The Lord has truly been answering my prayers. In HIS timing though, definitely not mine, and He doesn't always answer in the way we expect. He is a God of the unexpected. π
–My pack arrived yesterday!! WOOOOT! This is all starting to feel more and more real!
–As far as fundraising, I have $2300 thus far, and I lack $1200 that must be in my account by October 1st to move forward with the Race. And I have $13,200 remaining that I must have to be fully funded. God is truly providing and I am astounded at how He has! Example, my great uncle and aunt had already given last month, and I received another check of $100 from them yesterday. They have gone through so much lately, physically, financially, and so much more. Yet they gave. I am amazed at their generosity. Glory to God.
And they included this scripture reference on the memo line, it was so utterly encouraging:
"He who goes out weeping,
bearing the seed for sowing,
shall come home with shouts of joy,
bringing his sheaves with him."
-Psalm 126:6
The Lord is truly faithful and good. He is so patient with me, even in all the times I know I can be impatient with Him; He so gently reassures us that He is in control. Glory.
Love Always,
Bri
AND…I leave for training camp in t-minus 80 days, & counting!

I AM SO EXCITED to meet all of the amazing people on my squad! I already feel like I somewhat know them, even though we've all never physically met. I know God is on the move, and I feel so honored that He would choose me to be a small, tiny part of what He is doing!
Check out this video from the July training camp that just finished this past week! Awesome worship time, I cannot WAIT for this π
