This is far overdue, but with the holidays and travel to Africa and very limited internet access in Africa, this blog did not happen as quickly as I would have liked. But here it is, a very special blog for the incredible people who helped us make this past Christmas a very blessed one at Sarah’s Covenant Home in Ongole, India.

We wrote blogs and posted on Facebook and shared photos of these incredible children who had captured our hearts. We were so honored to be sharing Christmas with them and we wanted to give them things they needed so badly in their orphanage, but without an income and raising support ourselves, giving a sizable donation would be hard if we tried to do it alone.

So we reached out to you, our faithful followers, prayer warriors and supporters, to help us.
And you did. You gave us over $2500 to give back to SCH.
You’re amazing.

("I love you, Santa.")

With a small portion of that money, we took a shopping list that was provided to us by the wonderful women who run SCH and bought gifts the kids has requested, like bangles for the girls and balls for the boys. We went to SCH on Christmas day and distributed the toys with the help of Santa (one of our men dressed as jolly St. Nick) to each one of the 111 kids who live at SCH. We spent hours with them on Christmas day, playing and hugging and laughing, telling them that they are adored and a blessing and so very loved. We gave them extra attention and affection because we wanted them to know that so many people in the US were loving them from afar, and we knew if you were there, you would hug and kiss them too.

(Timothy couldn't walk when we came to SCH at the beginning of the month. Kacie made it her goal to have him walking by the time we left. He took his first steps alone on Christmas day)

The rest of the money will be given to SCH for them to buy those things they have been needing for months. We were told before we left that they were anxious to buy clean sheets and some developmental toys for the kids. It will help offset the cost of the diapers and Pediasure that costs SCH thousands of dollars each month.

We cannot thank you enough on behalf of the kids and workers at SCH for your generosity. Thank you for answering God’s call to your heart to contribute to helping these beautiful kids.

We love you, we thank you and we miss you.
