Happy Wednesday everyone!
This is my very first blog so lets see how it goes. Since the tittle of this is "About" I will share a little of who I am. First thing you should know is that I am CHOSEN. Yes God picked little ole' ME to fill some pretty big and exciting shoes! I am 28 years old living in the smallest, most hot and dry place in the US (which happens to also be a Navy Base with absolutely no bodies of water anywhere close).
I was raised in a Christian home, went to Christian school but at some point I left God behind. I ran fast and far from the things the Lord had for me. I did life on my own for many years, it was fun for a time but ended with lots of regret and overwhelming loneliness. One of the greatest things about God, is that He never stopped pursuing me. All those years He still loved me and still was covering me with His grace and mercy. He had great plans for my life, even though at that time I couldn't see that.
The last 3 years I have been walking side by side with the greatest friend I've ever known. Daily He reveals to me more of His heart and I seek for mine to look like His. He has given me purpose and gifted me greatly and not only have a said YES to this 11 month journey, I said Yes to a lifetime of making His name known.
I cant wait to take you all on the adventure with me! You are invited to take the journey with me through my blogs! I will be blogging regularly up until time of take off (JANUARY 2014) and through out the 11 months on the field. Make sure to follow and see all that God is doing to prepare me for this year of complete and total abandonment of everything but JESUS.
