I want to give a shout out to my best buds here on the race — Team Ridiculous! I am really blessed to have such an amazing community here on the race. Although we joke constantly, I hope you guys know how much I really do appreciate each of you. Erin & Drew Crain, Ricki Sm, Kendall Hawley, Hope Manley and Michelle Euperio; you guys are freaking awesome. You are the (insert Megan Rouse’s favorite word here). I can honestly say that each of you has taught me how to grow in different ways. You guys have drastically altered my thoughts on what it means to love, both in terms of giving and receiving. I suspect it will probably not be till I get home and spend time with people who knew me pre-race that I will finally begin to fathom the ways in which you guys have transformed my heart.
Well, these awesome folks, along with special guest star “Mike the Pirate,” gave me a 26th birthday to remember. I think the pictures can speak do most of the talking.
(The whole month, we were collecting clothing donations from various donors and giving the clothes to impoverished gypsy communities. One of the big perks to such a ministry is that we can temporarily borrow some of the more ridiculous clothes for our own amusement. Over the course of the month, I wore numerous ridiculous outfits. I suspect Facebook tags will be popping up soon as tangible evidence of my “unique” fashion sense. Below is a picture of each of us sporting some of the fashionable garb we found in the Barn.)
(Oops, how did this end up here. This was a common sight on Romanian roads, as many of the Gypsy families don’t own cars.)
(This is our obligatory “look tough for the camera” pose. I think my white capris really compliment my “gangstah” motiff.)
(Ricki surprised me with some delicious Thai food. It was so good in fact that someone stole and ate the leftovers before our next meal. 🙂
(Alright, as a present to you guys, here is a picture of one of my more infamous outfits on our Christmas/80’s sweater praise night (see previous blog). And yes, those are leather pants. Clearly I am enjoying freedom in Christ)

Love you Team Ridiculous! Also, for those of you that missed my Bday and want to celebrate with me when I get back, I will happily oblige to any belated Bday parties this December. (Leather pants not included).
