(This blog was made by my teammate Hope and includes tons of fantastic pictures!)

People say that pictures are worth a thousand words…I believe
it’s true, but even pictures barely touch the surface of seeing it
first hand. I wish you could touch, smell, and see them… Here’s a
glimpse into their world.

We only preached one day, but to them this is life and after we’ve
moved on to the next country and next ministry they are left. But
praise God that they don’t depend on me, but I pray that they depend on
the Almighty God who will never leave them!

There had been several landslides from the heavy rains that killed
over 75 people and left many without homes and land. These people can
never go back to their homes. They lost everything except hope in the
Lord. The joy I saw on the children’s faces reminded me that we should
be joyful in every circumstance. Our joy comes from the Lord not our
possessions. It reminded me to thank God for the things He has blessed
us with not the things that we don’t have. I was blessed to see the
children laugh and play in the midst of tragedy.
