After departing mid-day Sunday, one hundred of us arrived
safely in Matamata New Zealand mid-day Tuesday. Miraculously, everything turned out great and we have
encountered nothing but beautiful weather since we arrived.

Initial impressions: Everything is green!
The plant combinations still fascinate me-a palm, a fern and a towering
evergreen all bunched together in a little grove. I got sun burned within 20 minutes. Apparently the UV rays are the highest
of anywhere in the world and a person will literally will burn in minutes. But thankfully, there are no dangerous
creatures to worry about either (don’t worry, Australia will make up for
it!).

Right now we are undergoing training for one week at a
facility associated with Youth With a Mission (YWAM). I just wanted to come on really quick and let everyone know
I made it safe and to thank you all for your prayers. I will be sure to update again later this week when I have
done some more substantive stuff.
