To all my 6th-8th graders at Clayton Community Church,

This past year has been so amazing.  From our  “Ich Ni Son,” to our makeshift soccer and basketball games in the church office, to getting beat up at Bible Smugglers, I have had so much fun with you guys!  I will be forced to tell all the kids I meet in other countries how awesome the kids are back where I am from.

Believe it or not, I have actually learned a lot from you guys about life.  I wish I could take the time to single out each one of you and mention something I really appreciate about you, but at the risk of embarrassing you guys, I will speak generally.  For some of you, I will miss your big smiles and endless energy.  For others, I will miss our guitar jam sessions, or hanging out in the back trying to be cool.  I will even miss watching you guys fight for spaces on the couch during small group.  Above all, I will miss your senses of humor–I ask that you guys keep track of all the funny or embarrassing things that I miss and be sure to tell me all about them when I get back.

Small group, be good to Brian Downey and try not to break anything.   I have faith that you guys will behave perfectly and I have nothing to worry about.  🙂

I look forward to seeing you guys again in a year and being awed by how much you’ve all grown (both physically and in your relationship with God).  Please pray for me!!  I will definitely be praying for all of you guys!  Please send me emails and I will respond to  them as soon as I can get internet access ([email protected]).

Sending Abounding Love!
