The Philippines….My first thought when I heard that it would be our first country was third world and jungles. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. So ill start from the beginning. After flying out of San Fran on Tuesday at like midnight and flying for about 14 hours of sleeping in awkward positions and watching endless movies we arrived in Manila at about 3am Thursday local time (for those of you still doing the math yes we skipped Wednesday altogether and traveled to the future what up ;D). After being exhausted we got a ride to our ministry and honestly my jaw dropped. I had all these expectations of sleeping in a tent and being hot all the time and I find out were staying at a pretty nice place outside of Manila with beds, pillows, cooked meals for us and to top it of a pool and a water slide. It was amazing haha (picture blog to come soon) So now to describe the ministry. Ok so our host is Kids International Ministry (KIM) and they have a few different types of ministry in the area ranging from hanging out with orphaned kids to playing with the locals and talking about life and Christ. Another ministry is called the JAZ house that only the girls can do cause in involves girls who wee sexually abused and are recovering from the mental and emotional issues in a Christ centered atmosphere so i wont talk to much on that cause im a dude haha. Anyways i brought that up to tell yall that yes i got another tattoo and its pretty awesome haha. It was sick getting it cause one of the guys who lives and works here had his friend come here and do it for us. So let me set the scene haha think an upstairs movie room and a bunch of racers sitting on a couch watching a movie and a guy sitting there needle in hand doing tattoos haha how awesome is that .anyways the coolest thing is that he donates a portion of the money made to the JAZ house which is super cool haha the bummer is i cant swim for a little while 😛 so besides getting tattoos and swimming just being here and getting to hang out with the locals and hearing there stories is so much fun that makes withstanding the heat worth it. So that’s all i gt for yall now but this is only part one so stay tuned for more 😉
