Pride can be an ugly thing. It can get in the way of your relationships and even destroy a friendship. In my case, pride is holding me back from what God has planned for me. These past few days I’ve been avoiding writing my fundraising letters because in my mind I felt like going out and asking others for money was beneath me. I saw it as a weakness and that I didn’t need anyone else’s help. But i know in my heart I’m dead wrong. God is telling me straight up to throw away my pride and humble myself before Him. So here I am before you all saying I cant do it on my own and you can help me through this. You can go on this amazing journey with me and I promise you, you wont be disappointed. Dear Friends and Family,
I hope you are all doing well! I wanted to let you know about some new things that are going on in my life. As some of you may know, I went on my first mission trip to Jamaica in 2012. Since that trip, I have had a heart for missions and helping those who cannot help themselves.
This past year, I felt God calling me back to the mission field. I was told about a program through Adventures in Missions called The World Race – a 9 month Christian mission trip to several different countries around the world. After a lot of prayer and deliberation, God made it very clear that I needed to abandon all the comforts of home and leave everything behind to spread His word, starting in Sept. 2014! The regions I will be traveling to: Central America, Africa and Southeast Asia. While on the World Race, my team and I will be feeding the hungry, rebuilding churches and homes, caring for children in orphanages, helping the sick and spreading the word of God.
I am so grateful for this opportunity that God has given me, and have every confidence that He will provide for my needs! While I will be doing many things to fundraise on my own, my prayer is that you would also consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry.
