A Wake Up Call
Nepal has been such an extraordinary month! I’m sorry it’s been so late from my last post God has been keeping me swamped with work. So it is only now as I randomly wake up around 3am that I am writing to you all.
BRACE YOURSELF.
*The Words below are from a wake up call I received on a rooftop in Nepal. Some people like their sleep.*

As I sat on the rooftop of our building, hand washing some laundry, I began to stare into the mountains. With a lot on my mind, I just stared for awhile. And then I thought “Wow! What if Jesus came down this mountain right now and would I be ready?” I imagine it being like having a parent come home from work early, or your boss coming into your job unexpectedly. You can either be caught doing something great like preparing dinner, doing the chores, your actual work assignment, or exceeding your bosses expectations. OR you can be caught doing something not so spectacular such as sitting on the couch, having left the meat in the freezer, texting on the job, or in a place you know you shouldn’t be.
I believe Jesus is the same way. You can be “caught” at some point of your life. The cool thing is you chose to get caught in. You can be caught arguing about petty things? Maybe you’re holding a grudge about that shirt your friend never returned? Maybe you’re doing a random act of kindness? Possibly taking care of a loved one? Or just living life because you don’t think any of this is real.
This isn’t a scare tactic or a threat, but it is a WAKE UP call and reality. I got caught doing laundry.
I’ve had cousins who have been shot, friends who have committed suicide, been in major accidents, and loved ones diagnosed with various illnesses. There is an end to this tunnel we call life, and you never know when you’ll meet it. When he comes (If, for those who don’t think this is real), I want to be on the right team. The gamble isn’t worth it for me.
For me, I want to say “Oh dang Jesus, you caught me building up this church for the Kingdom.”
“My God, I just need another minute to share the word with this boy on the bus.”
“Heavenly Father, can we finish playing this game of soccer with the street kids.”

“Dad, we have another song of worship to sing.”

“Can we cherish this moment of Fellowship”

Nepal has been an extraordinary experience. I am thankful for every day & the priceless moments. Hopefully, you braced yourself and haven’t been offended by what I said. BUT there’s no better time than now to start working towards something positive. To start loving those around you without judgement. To understand it’s ok not to be perfect. To be thankful for each and every day. To chose joy in each and every moment. To strive for excellence in everything you do. To stay focused and keep your eyes on the Lord. To open up this book we call the Bible andlearn a little bit more. Just be careful, because this book changed my life and I love it.
