Less Can Be More– After living with little to no personal space in tents, no WiFi internet, cold bucket showers, portapotties, and small portioned meals you learn that you are spoiled. The World we live in tells us we need so many material things, but letting go has been one of the greatest experiences for me. Never forget we live in abundance.

.Outdoor Living- Living in a tent is pretty cozy in my opinion. Granted it rained, I killed scorpions for the first time, red Georgia dirt became commonplace, and you could hear the tossing and turning of other racers in their tents. It was an opportunity to get away from the busyness of the world and be at peace.

Forks are Overrated- When you’re hungry, you just want to eat. Go at it and have no shame.

Praise & Worship– Everyone worships differently. It is okay to put your hands in the sky towards the Lord even if you don’t know every song the band plays. Praise and Worship is more than music. It is your personal time to Glorify the Lord, so never be afraid to show him how much you love him.

Meeting Sons & Daughters– God has so many beautiful Sons and Daughters of Christ. We are not a dying breed and God is Not Dead. We are the generation that will save lives.

Intentional Prayer– When you pray, pray HARD. We serve a living and active God who will give you the power to pray over others and give you the desires of your heart. BUT you must have faith. It isn’t always easy, but as you learn to Let Go and Let God you will truly unravel his greatness.

Open Your Senses– Sometimes we just need to listen and observe. When you turn off your cellphone and actually pay attention to what’s going on around you, you will learn so much more. You don’t miss the tone in someone’s voice, the facial expressions, or overall body language that may send a greater message than just words. We need to have a PRESENCE in our PRESENT.

Man Hike– 18 Mile hikes are times for growth, sweat, and Icy Hot. After climbing up and down the Appalachian Trail (a majority of the time in the rain) I was physically exhausted, but fueled by the journey we took spiritually. Men of God do exist and are a powerful force when put together. Icy Hot is also a huge blessing and the smell won’t last forever 🙂

The Market Lesson- There are opportunities around us every day to share the Gospel. We don’t have to leave the country to begin the work of God. It can be a random act of kindness, a small prayer, a quick conversation, or even a smile.

Be Humble- Stay humble, do NOT judge others, and never compare. You never know what past experiences others around you have gone through. You are not better than others. Learn to love others where they are.

God is Love. He is bigger than all of our daily problems and He will never cease to amaze me.

Thank you so much to all my supporters!! I would not have been able to have this experience without your support, prayers, and love. Let’s keep pushing forward. I will be leaving for our journey at the end of June (27th), and will be praying to get as close to fully funded before we leave for India! Our next official challenge is to meet $7,500 by June 17th!
