Moving Forward in Faith

 

We made it! Not only did we meet our first goal of $3,500, but we passed it and are now at $3,610 out of $16,277. The next deadline will be a total of $7,500 by June 17th but ultimately we want to raise as much as possible before my departure on July 15th!

 

Every day brings a new opportunity,challenge, and lesson. If you know me well the work never stops. I just finished all of my final exams this Tuesday, but found myself sitting in the library until later hours all over again. Two lessons I’ve learned is that you have to labor in order to make things happen, and leaving the country for a almost a year isn’t easy. I can not do this alone. If it wasn’t for God and my many supporters none of this would ever be possible. If you would have told me that I needed to fundraise this amount of of money in that short of a time period I would have said no way! But God said yes.

 

“Certainty is the mark of the common-sense life: gracious uncertainty is the mark of a spiritual life.” Naturally we are inclined to make calculations and rationalizations, but sometimes we just need to let go and let God. You have to have faith and you must fully trust to him. When we learn to let God guide our lives, all other natural things will fall into place and he will provide us with all things.”Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” Matthew 6:33

 

 As I take my last few laps around campus before walking the stage on May 9th, my excitement for the World Race continues to build! I’ll be off to Gainesville, GA May 21st-31st for our Training Camp, and the reality of my journey is beginning to sink in.
