Yesterday was one of the best days EVER and I’ll tell you why.
I had found out through some friends about a ministry here in Malawi that works directly with street kids in Lilongwe. They mentor them, feed, house, educate and LOVE them. Seeing that this is EXACTLY what I want to do for a living, I got in contact with them and went to go visit them at their house that day. There I met 7 beautiful, smart, healthy, God loving boys who had been rescued from the streets. They also live with a married couple who look after them.
I didn’t know really what to expect going there besides hanging out with the boys, playing some football, small chat, nothing crazy. What ended up was SOO much bigger and better than I could have thought, you wanna know why, because I let the Holy Spirit do everything!!!
I got all the boys together in the living room to introduce myself and tell them a little about my life, The World Race and Bible school next month. Talking to them I could feel their pain and what they have been through, and I feel how much they are relying on the Lord to stay away from where they came from, same as myself. They really were transformed into new creations. It was beautiful to see. So while talking to them, some said that they wanted to be pastors when they grew up, and that they were hesitant to talk to their friends about Jesus, afraid of man. So I pretty much gave a sermon through the Spirit out of nowhere and got fired up!!
My sermon ended by me making all the boys, including myself, stand on our chairs and do declarations to God. To declare and cry out to God that we are NOT afraid of what man thinks of us, that we LOVE Him more than anything, that our lives are in His hands and He can do what ever He wants with us and SOO much more!!! The air was so thick in that room, the Spirit was heavy and MOOVING!!! It was amazing!!! After an intense prayer session we all sat down to recoup. Then it hit me…..today is market day right down the street….with hundreds of people!!!
What better opportunity to go and preach!! Just like they wanted to do!! They all said “I would love to do the World Race and travel to other countries to preach!!” So I told them, well start HERE, start NOW in your OWN country!! With your OWN people!!! In your OWN language!!
I told them GO!! Preach the good news and make disciples of nations!!! All with smiles on their faces, they shot up out of their chairs, put nice pants on, grabbed their Bibles and RAN out the door to go and preach!! After the elders prayed over them of course. These boys are from the ages of 11-17.……
The testimonies they came back with were amazing!! Some rejections, some good chats and 2 people accepting Christ!!! I couldn’t believe what God was doing in these boys and ME!!! He solidified the passion for young boys that He had given me. My heart beats for the un loved. My spirit yearns to love the people who man forgets. This is my passion. Boys. Preaching. Teaching. Praying. LOVING. Healing. Serving.
So to tell you why I titled this blog ‘ministry never stops’ is because..
IT DOESN’T!!! MINISTRY NEVER STOPS!!!
You never in your life clock in and out of ministry. It’s not a 9-5. It’s a 24-7 for the rest of your life!! Sometimes on the race we would go home after ‘ministry’ and call it a day. While walking home from say, and orphanage, walking right by a home less person and not doing anything. Not praying for them, not offering a small amount of money or food, because ‘I’m off duty’. I already put in my ‘ministry’ time today, I’m done, the rest of the day is for ME. Which is pathetic if you ask me!! Your life as a servant of Christ is never over. As for me, yes the World Race is over. Yet I will NEVER stop seeking opportunities to preach, love and encourage people, especially beautiful street boys in Malawi!!!

There is always someone to talk to about Jesus. Always someone to encourage and tell them you love them, and JESUS LOVES THEM!!! I encourage YOU and challenge YOU to GO!! Go and love someone today!! Go preach the Gospel to someone who has never heard it!!
