I can’t believe that I haven’t written a Uganda recap yet!!! I am so sorry!!! So let’s begin shall we….
To start off the month, something major happened…TEAM CHANGE!! I was taken off of Salt Shakers and was put on team Siloam.
So to start off the month with a brand new amazing team was really refreshing and got Uganda off to an amazing start!!! We were staying in a town 45 minutes outside of Kampala called Seeta. Our Pastor and contacts was named Pastor Charles and he was amazing!!! He was so nice and served us so so so so soooo amazingly!!
Our ministry was door to door evangelism for the whole month. So if you are reading this and have done the World Race….you know what I’m talking about when I say, it’s not my favorite type of evangelism….
Not to say that I didn’t put my everything into it!! But I don’t like knocking on strangers doors and intruding their lives to ask if they know who Jesus is. For me personally, it’s not my favorite, but it does work for some people, it’s not wrong, just different. But what I did like about ministry this month was we invited the people who we talked with to a Bible study/get to know you better discussion we held under a mango tree every day at 5. I liked doing that much better than talking to people and never seeing them again. So that was really good and we built some really good relationships through that.

There was also a university right behind where we were staying and at night, around 5, about 50 kids (3-25) came and played soccer and volley ball. So I loved going out there and hanging out with them all and playing with them, this was probably one of my favorite parts about this month.
We also got to meet some amazing Americans who live in Kampala who have a ministry to help street kids. They also have a school for a village. They were amazing to meet and hang out with. It was a well needed taste of America that we needed and a great encouragment to show us that we can live out of the country by ourselves, at our age and make a difference in the world. It is exactly what I will be doing!!!
So over all, it was a good month!!! I’m still loving being back in Africa, I love my new team!! The World Race is over in 2 months which I can’t believe!!! Life is good!! Jesus is GREAT!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!
