This is Julius and I love him.

I first met him when I was walking through the market handing out flyers to invite people to church. He was hanging out with a few Rastafarian guys who were drinking and talking. They called him Rasta boy. After that I saw him everywhere I went. He would always come up to me and give me a big hug. I fell in love. I didn’t see him for a few days one week, then while I was standing outside the church on Sunday to bring people in, guess who runs up to me, Julius!!! It made my day!! I then brought him to Sunday school. He is a crazy kid, who has not had the best life. Growing up surrounded by poverty, drinking and stealing. When we did our children’s day he came and was a terror!!! He didn’t want to wait in lines to do the things we had planned, he wanted 1 of everything we had and was just everywhere!!! It broke my heart because that is all he knows. He doesn’t know how to wait his turn or to share. But I love him!!! He has the best smile and just wants someone to love him!! I’ve been that person this month, but I’m trying to teach him that the person that will love him longer and better than I can is the Lord!!
Please pray for my baby!! Pray that he doesn’t fall into the life of the men he surrounds himself with. Pray he continues to go to Sunday school and make Christian friends his age. Pray for his education, he doesn’t speak much English and I don’t know if he goes to school.
I also met a man named Moses and he is on the verge of something amazing!!!
I first met him with Julius in the market. We talked a little bit about the Bible that day and he was very skeptical about going to church. They said that Rastafarians read the Bible, but I have no idea what they believe because they were all drunk and high. So we ended the conversation with inviting them to church. Surprisingly…..I saw Moses at church on Sunday!! I was thrilled!! He seemed very ashamed to be there, as if he didn’t want any of his friends to see him, but he was still there and ready to listen. I talked to him after and he said that he wanted to continue to go there and become a member.
I was once again thrilled and shocked to see Moses at church the next week as well!! I sat with him for the last few minutes of service. At the end they asked if anyone was interested in joining the worship team…no one raised their hand, so they asked again. To my amazement…Moses raised his hand!!! I couldn’t believe my eyes. I didn’t even know he liked to sing, let alone sing worship songs in front of a church with 200 members!! Sooo good!!!
Please pray that Moses keeps going to church!! Also that the Lord continues to move in his life and sends more people in his life to grow in more with God.
