Let me recap today for you and tell you how crazy and amazing my life is…
June 29th 2012 Jinja Uganda
9:00 am God woke up.
9:30 am I stood and watched 15 of my squad mates bungee jump into the Nile River
10:00 am Finished reading Compelled by Love written by Heidi Baker
11:00 am My best friend Jeremy came into my room to tell me that he was relaxing by the pool next door and Katie Davis, (who wrote Kisses from Katie and has adopted 13 Ugandan girls at the age of 19) was there with all of her girls. Since my life long goal is to adopt 15 Malawian boys, I RAN AS FAST AS I COULD over to the pool to go and meet her. I met Katie Davis, helped her 5 year old daughter swim in the pool and got a picture with her. Dream come true after reading her book just 2 days before.
12:00 ……I was board…..so I had an adrenaline rush and BUNGEE JUMPED INTO THE NILE RIVER!!!!
12:30 I was not satisfied with my first jump because I jumped wrong and didn’t go into the water…..SO I JUMPED INTO THE NILE AGAIN!!!! But this time I did it backwards!!! It was much better and I was submerged into the Nile River. SO AMAZING!!!
1:00-6:00 Hung out with my squad, played cards and caught up on some of my squad mates lives.
6:00 I got to fulfill a vision the Lord gave me and my best friend Jeremy and I went into town to go love on the street kids that beg for food everyday. Jeremy and I sat down on the side of the street, shared the Gospel with them, fed them bread and jam and clean drinking water, LOVED on them and prayed with them!!! It was one of the best moments of my race!!
8:00 Our squad got together, all 45 of us along with 4 of our new best friends we met this month and we worshiped the Lord!!! It was so good to get together once again and have squad worship on a field next to the Nile River in Uganda Africa!!!
That is considered a normal day for me on The World Race and I LOVE IT!!! God is soooooo good!!!!!
