Hey everyone!!!
Thus marks my final blog from Central America. The 3 months we spent here were amazing!! Full of ups and downs, amazing relationships and adventures. But every good thing must come to an end. I can't use my horrible Spanglish anymore and have local laugh at me, I can't eat papusas and really good Spanish food anymore. Central America was fun, but it's time for a change!!
ASIA!!!! Thailand here we come!!!
But to sum up Nicaragua, it was a beautiful month. We were on an island working at an orphanage as you know. For the first bit, the kids seemed like they didn't like us, but they just needed time to warm up to us. All the kids were so amazing!! It was good to interact with teenagers, I feel like we have more in common with them and could relate to them and just have fun with them. The little kids were SO cute but little monsters in the same sentence. And the workers at the orphanage were amazing as well!! I really got to know the cooks and had them laughing all day.
To be honest, I was really sick for most of the month. I had a fever everyday, had no energy to do anything and I didn't eat for days. It was horrible!! But in that time I spent a lot of time with the Lord. Asking Him why I was sick, what He wanted me to learn from being sick and just talking to Him about life. It was really good to have that time just to talk to Him. But I think what I learned from being sick was that I am NOT invincible. I always try and brush off sickness and ALWAYS work even though I am sick and say I'm fine. I came on this trip to do ministry, not to lay in my bed and sleep. So God really had to KNOCK me out with sickness to get me to realize that I needed Him, and that He wanted to spend more time with me. So I am fine now!! But Nicaragua was a weird month for me.
Also this month was Christmas!!! Which was a lot of fun!! We had a kids camp in the morning and did a skit and hit open some pinyata. Then we had a team present swap. Then we had a HUGE dinner with about 100 people from church at the orphanage, then the next night just us and the kids had a big family dinner. It was really nice to be surrounded with amazing people for Christmas. But it was the second Christmas away from home, so that kind of stunk being away from my family AGAIN, I was defiantly missing them and missed eating a whole roll of cinnamon buns for breakfast!!

So that is what happened month 3 of the World Race in Nicaragua!!! Thank you all for reading and supporting me!! I still need $4,000 to be fully funded!! I'll see you all in Thailand!!!
