Herrow everyone!!! This month I am in Nicaragua!!! And so far it has been amazing. We are staying and working at an orphanage on an island called Ometempe, which is in the middle of a fresh water lake. The island is extra cool because one of the seasons on the show Survivor was filmed here!! Which I think is pretty funny. So day to day life here at the orphanage is fun. The grounds are HUGE and they have a basket ball/soccer court and so much room to do what ever. We are working with another team this month as well, Kaleo if you want to look them up. So the 12 of us either play with the kids, garden, cook meals or do some random jobs that need to be done. There are around 20 kids here right now, mostly teenagers and only 4 or 5 little munchkins!!!
So the month so far has been great, it’s only been a few days, but hey! We are secluded from what seems like the world!! The nearest candy store and internet place is about a ½ an hour walk away. We have an amazing view of the mainland and the sunsets are breathtaking everyday. So I will give you more when the month is over probably. But you know what happens next month….WE GO TO ASIA!!! We fly back into the states, which will seem really weird, then we’ll most likely fly into Bangkok!!! I can’t wait to be in Thailand again, I was there for a month earlier in the year, but this time I’ll be doing a little less partying and a LOT more preaching!!!
