Leaving LAX airport on a 1 am flight isn’t the greatest thing in the world, but it was exciting because WE WERE GOING TO GUATEMALLA!!! Even though we were all exhausted, you could feel the excitement on the plane from the squad. For some, it was the first time leaving the country.
We landed and got shuttled to our hostel where we met with our leaders and settled into our hostel. The whole squad of 50 will be staying here for the first couple of days, then we will all dispense into our different ministry sites throughout the country. My team, along with 1 other will be staying in Antigua the whole month working together. We don’t know what we are doing yet, but it’s going to be amazing!!
For the first week on the field, it’s called “Launch”. Our leaders and AIM staff brief us what to expect and give us some amazing lectures. We take this time to be together, worship and start our new lives together abroad. We wandered around the city to get to know where everything is, spent time as a team and squad, and just worshiped the Lord everyday and sang praises of thankfulness of the opportunity that He has given us!!! This month and YEAR is going to be amazing!!
So that is a quick recap on launch, I just wanted to say a quick little thang…. If you are going through a hard time, struggling, depressed, sad, angry or just confused on where you are in your life, God is ready and waiting for you to talk to Him about it!!! It sounds SO weird, TRUST ME, but once you do, and you start to have a relationship with God, you will NEVER regret it!! He really is the real deal!!!
