Lately it seems that if we’re uncomfortable, then we’re in the right place.

Are you too comfortable?

Whatever we do, God needs to be the main focus. We can try
and go through life with the main focus on ourselves; we’ve tried and it did not turn out well; a
lot of mistakes, pain, confusion, selfishness, deceit, and lies.

We have been walking with the Lord for awhile now, but we were complacent, knowing there was more, how else could we grow.  In western cultures, with a lot of comforts it’s easy to not have to rely on God. When something gets uncomfortable we change our direction. Instead
of patiently waiting on God and diving into the root of the problem, we try fixing it ourselves immediately.

So far this year we find ourselves in many
awkward, uncomfortable
places.

We are called to love, especially those that are difficult to
love.

We’re discovering what needs to change in us or how we can help
others grow in their walk with Jesus.

We find ourselves accepted/complete in Christ and still
growing to be more like Jesus.

We have the presence of God and the pressure of sin- to be
discouraged, tempted, and fed lies.

Living in community is a gift that is both challenging and
amazing, because we find ourselves being challenged and growing in Christ’s image in so many new
ways.

It’s good to get outside your comfort zone.

“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides…He loves to help…Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought…Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.’
